She was the queen of the small kingdom of Jhansi in the Maratha confederation in central India. One of the leaders of the Great Indian Rebellion (1857-58). He gave up his personal property and fought bravely against the British army with thousands of soldiers. It is said that he rode a horse, held the reins in his mouth, and ran around the battlefield wielding both a saber and a rifle. In the end, he was shot and killed in action.

ラクシュミー・バーイーは結構好きで、インドにいった時には銅像巡りとかもするのですが、日本ではマイナーなのですかね…（何かゲームのキャラクターになっているのは見ましたよｗ）
