A castle near the ancient capital of Brasov in Transylvania, Romania. Built in the 14th century. A castle built by Vlad I (Old Duke Mircea of Wallachia), the grandfather of Vlad Tepes the Impaler (Vlad III). Vlad III, who is said to be one of the models for Dracula, does not live there. Bran Castle is said to have been the model for Dracula\'s Castle when Irish author Bram Stoker published his novel ``Dracula\'\' at the end of the 19th century. Attractions.
