Lately, I've been thinking a lot about transparent umbrellas.
That cheap one made of vinyl. For me, that's what an umbrella means.
A year ago, I broke up with a woman.
To be more precise, it's more like "we naturally stopped seeing each other" than "we broke up."
There are more such relationships in the world than you think. There was no reason to break up, no words to hold us together. However, it faded away. Like milk dissolved in coffee.
The last time I saw her, she was holding a transparent umbrella.
I don't remember if it was raining or not. Or rather, it probably wasn't raining. But she had an umbrella. I still remember that scene quite clearly.
Since then, whenever I hold an umbrella, I unconsciously choose that type of umbrella.
